Steve is the founder and developer of Freeform Martial arts. He has been training for over 50 years and teaching for over 40 years. He is a qualified fitness instructor, former president of the Guild of Australian black belts and team trainer for various Australian sporting teams and athletes.
Margaret is the wife and business partner of Steve Sonsie. She handles all the administrative and front desk sales, including inquiries of memberships, pricing, uniforms and gradings.
Nicole is a 3rd Degree black belt in Freeform and is the most senior female instructor. She has been training for over 30 years and has been teaching for over 20 years. She is a qualified fitness instructor, facilitator of school programs, groups and corporate. She is also the daughter of Steve and Margaret Sonsie.
Robyn holds a 6th Degree black belt in Freeform and is the most senior member of the Freeform martial arts club. He has been training for over 30 years and teaching for over 20. He has received a “Life time member of Freeform” award and is a qualified head referee in (former) Guild Australian Black belts.
Lloyd holds a 2nd Degree Black belt in Freeform and has been training in Freeform for over 10 years. He is an Instructor of junior and senior classes and is a qualified personal trainer.
Natasha currently holds a 1st degree black belt and has been training and teaching for over 30 years. She is a facilitator of school programs and is also the daughter of Steve and Margaret Sonsie.
Rhys is a Junior instructor and currently assists in the Healesville classes. Has been training for over 7 years and is going for his Junior black belt.
Jessica is a 1st degree intermediate black belt in Freeform, she is a qualified instructor of junior classes and has been training for over 7 years.
Nathan is 1st degree intermediate black belt and a qualified instructor for junior classes. He has been training for over 8 years and continues to develop his skills.
Adrian holds a 1st Degree Black belt in Freeform and has been training for over 7 years. Adrian has also worked with youth and adults with behavioural issues in disability and welfare services and is a humanitarian clown.
